West Yellowstone is a gateway to Yellowstone National Park — one of the most interesting places you can visit, summer or winter!
My last visit to West Yellowstone was for the annual Snowmobile Expo and a long awaited snowcoach tour of Yellowstone Park. The Comfort Inn was the perfect location for everything, with snowcoach pick-up right to the hotel door.
The West Yellowstone Comfort Inn friendly staff ensured everything ran smoothly during our stay, from check-in until check-out. From maps to questions about where to find local places, every question we had was answered.
Of course the key thing I’m looking for in a hotel is sleeping comfort. The beds were excellent — comfortable and with good quality linens. I always judge a room by its pillows, maybe not scientific, but it works for me. And these were a nice selection, so I could prop up on plump pillows for t.v. watching, but still have a smaller pillow for sleeping.
After a good rest at a hotel, the next important thing on my list of requirements is good Internet access. The wireless service had a strong signal, plus it was free-of-charge, which is always a nice benefit.
Our Comfort Inn room also had a microwave and frig, so it was easy to have snacks and drinks once we’d taken off our snowmobile clothes and didn’t feel like going out again! The free deluxe continental breakfast was excellent — particularly the pancakes, although there were lots of other options from cereals and hard-boiled eggs, to pastries and whole wheat toast.
Whether you’re looking for a whole snowmobile package to head out sledding, or planning to watch Old Faithful erupt on a hot July day, the West Yellowstone Comfort Inn is a great hotel to come home to.
