Niagara Falls – Horseshoe Falls – photo taken from the Rainbow Air Helicopter ride at Niagara, New York.
I’ve never visited Niagara Falls before–and really, it wasn’t even on my list of must-do stops when I started planning our fall foliage tour. Boy am I glad we added it to the itinerary!
The sight of six million cubic feet of water rushing over the falls every minute (at peak), creating a roar unlike anything I’ve ever heard before, was nothing short of spectacular even though we arrived before the brightest colors of fall.
I’m sure voters from around the world will agree it’s one of the seven wonders of North America when the ballots are counted in this not-quite-official survey at http://sevennaturalwonders.org/

Now, on with the photos! Some are from our Maid of the Mist boat tour and some from our Rainbow Air helicopter ride. I highly recommend both of these options as ways to see the falls from above and below!
Here’s an awesome video with full foliage colors!
