CN Tower

The CN Tower is an extremely popular landmark in Toronto which was built between 1972 and 1976. Although you can’t miss this landmark as it can be seen from all over the city, it is best to view it up close to see just how tall this 553-meter high tower is.

Another reason why you should visit this tower is that you can actually go in this tower and look out from the Sky Pod to see a view stretching from Niagara Falls and New York State. There are different floors including a glass floor where you can see the city from under your feet. You can get to these floors by using the lift and there is a 360 restaurant that you can get some amazing lunch or dinner from which gives you the chance to sit down and enjoy the view while you eat.

If you are feeling brave, you could try the Edge Walk. This is a walk on the 1.5-meter wide ledge on the outside of the pod and is around 365 meters high. This may sound terrifying for some but not to worry, you will be attached to a safety harness and rope during the walk.

When you visit ROM, you can find a wide selection of displays that include pieces of natural history, art, culture and many different exhibits from over the years.

One of the most popular art galleries to visit in Toronto is the Art Gallery of Ontario. At this art gallery, you can expect some of the weirdest and most wonderful pieces of art across each of the floors of this modern building. You might want to make a day of visiting this gallery, as there are around 95,000 pieces from all around the world to explore.

The Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada is one of the newest attractions in Toronto and is located next to the CN Tower. So, if you are having trouble finding the aquarium, just look out for the CN Tower and you will find it no problem.

Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada is a great place to look around. Make sure to check out the ten galleries, especially the Great Lakes exhibit where you’ll find sturgeon, North America’s largest freshwater fish, and prehistoric paddlefish.

Another reason why this is a popular place to visit is because there is an underwater tunnel that you can go through and see the different sea life swim above you. Some of the sea life that you will see as you go through this tunnel include sharks and different types of small fish, as well as different types of coral and plants. Not only can you go through the tunnel but there is a jellyfish display that you can enjoy with different lights and colours, which is something you don’t see every day.

If you are still looking for some more exciting exhibits in this aquarium then you can go to the different touch pools and meet some of the stingrays and smalls sharks up close.

If you just can’t get enough of animals and if you would like a change from ocean life, then you can head to the zoo. If you want to see the biggest zoo in Canada, then head to the Toronto Zoo, which opened in 1974 and covers over 700 acres of land.

The Toronto zoo has over 5,000 animals to see which include big cats such as lions, leopards, tigers, and some different species of monkeys, giraffes, hippos and many more. Since there are so many different kinds of animals to see, the zoo is split into sections that represent different parts of the world where the animals come from. You’ll find everything from the Gorilla Rainforest to the Tundra Trek, where you can see some polar bears, to the Great Barrier Reef where you can explore marine life.
