When it comes to planning a trip to Canada, a stop in Vancouver is simply a must if you’re heading to the western side of the country. This city in British Columbia is a real treat, offering up a host of art and culture while also being close to some areas of truly outstanding natural beauty.

However, after a day of adventure and exploring, how are you going to relax and unwind in the city? Here we offer up our own ideas on what you can enjoy on an evening out in the area.

1. Roxy Cabaret

If you are planning to explore the city’s nightlife, there is only one place to start. Roxy Cabaret is a famous nightspot where there is always plenty going on, including live performances from its selection of house bands to sets from some of the hottest DJs.

Furthermore, if you’re planning an event like a birthday, bachelorette party or even a class reunion, the venue will have you covered thanks to a range of packages. Quite simply, there is never a dull moment at Roxy Cabaret.

2. River Rock Casino and Resort

Casino gaming seems to be massive at the moment in Canada, with online sites particularly thriving. As this page on Canadian casino bonuses shows, it is a hugely competitive area and sites are offering a range of promotions to try and attract new players.

It is a similar story when it comes to land-based casinos too, and while you’re in Vancouver you could head across the Fraser River to check out the deals on offer at River Rock Casino and Resort. There is nothing quite like the glamour of a casino and a visit would be the perfect way to spend an evening.

3. Comedy Clubs

Having a laugh can be a great way to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing or hiking, so why not plan a trip to one of Vancouver’s comedy clubs when you have a spare evening? There are a host of different venues which specialise in stand-up, from Yuk Yuk’s Vancouver Comedy Club to the Comedy MIX and Foxhole Comedy. Whichever you opt for, we’re sure you will be in for a great time.

4. Vancouver Aquarium

Now for something a little different. Vancouver Aquarium is an impressive place to visit at any time of day, but the site actually offers adults-only ‘After Hours’ events which mean you can take in everything it offers without any little ones running around.

Keep an eye on the website for when the next After Hours event is coming up and you can get to enjoy the aquarium in a totally different way.

Food for thought

There’s so much to see and do in Vancouver, but when the sun goes down it’s fair to say that the fun never stops. We hope the ideas above have given you some food for thought on what you can get up to and how you can see the best that the city has to offer at night.
