London is more than a city. With each district attracting millions of visitors every year, diversity and bubbling culture make the capital city a truly special location.

But what exactly is worth doing in the capital? Wandering around aimlessly is no way to experience London. So, decisions have to be made. And the options are endless, from family trips to evenings with friends, there is something for everyone. Yet when so much is on the cards, it’s difficult to pin down a plan.

You should always come to London with an idea of what you want to see and achieve, or risk getting lost in the mad rush. Read on to learn more about the best ways you can enjoy the capital city.

For many people, the capital shines brightest at night. London embodies the classic adage: work hard, play hard. As employees end their shift and hit the streets on a Friday evening, the city bursts into life and is a real sight to behold.

On one end, you have those who take advantage of the amazing bars and live music venues. And on another, you have those testing their luck at The Hippodrome: touted as the best casino in London by OnlineCasinos.co.uk.

However, the traditional nightlife is not for everyone. If films are more up your street, head over to Electric Cinema. The venue is regarded as one of the best movie theatres in London, as rated by life.spectator.co.uk. Rolling in 1950s aesthetic and lounging in plush leather seating, is a cinematic experience hard to top.

London’s choice of entertainment is a reflection of the people who live there. The diversity is something you should embrace with all your heart. It is a place to experience exciting opportunities, as well as, enjoy old comforts.

London for the Foodie

London is famed across the world for its array of great food and fine dining cuisine. But hunting for a Michelin Star is not the best way to find something to eat. Food is about fun and culture; for many Londoners, fancy restaurants don’t make the cut. You should take a leaf from their book and explore a variety of fantastic food markets and soak in the atmosphere.

The foodie hub of London is Shoreditch. After reaping the benefits of gentrification, the borough has held onto its market routes. A walk down Brick Lane will leave you with a beaming smile, and a significant urge to eat everything in sight. From Thai curry, Miso Soup, and Biriani, to a good old sausage roll, something there will satisfy your appetite.

But one establishment to keep an eye out for is Dinerama. It’s a warehouse home to numerous food vendors, offering great food at an affordable price. The options are endless, and a fantastically loud atmosphere captures everything great about London. If you can grab a seat, it is well worth a visit.

Should you be lucky enough to experience London on an early weekday morning, you’ll be taken aback with its tranquillity. A city — nine million people strong — falls silent.

While residents recover from busy work weeks, London is yours. Gone is the commuter rush and gridlocked traffic; replaced by a crisp breeze and the shimmering break of daylight. It is a romantic vision of London many will never see. And to make the most of the occasion, simply go for a walk.

The Thames is a long river, spanning further than its famed position along Westminster bridge. A particularly beautiful stretch waits between Little Venice and Camden Town. Following the canal, the view of cobbled streets and lazy riverboats feels more like a country village than a sprawling metropolis. Here you can take time away from skyscrapers and see the city in a different light.

London is always on the move, brimming with life. But sometimes its good to take a step back and breathe in your surroundings. It’s easy to get caught up in the bravado, a morning stroll along the Thames slows life down and starts the day off right.
