Though you can find casinos in many cities across the globe, there are three that will always stand out as the top places to play. If you are a casino aficionado, you have most likely already decided to visit Monaco, Las Vegas, and Macau if you haven’t already! These are some of the best casino destinations in the world – and, of course, all three can also offer a lot more than just casino games!
Monaco

The city-state of Monaco is one of the best places to go in Europe if you love casinos. At the heart of it all lies the Casino de Monte-Carlo. This impressive building opened its doors in 1863 and is owned by a company in which the government and royal family of Monaco have a ruling interest. Interestingly enough, the citizens of Monaco themselves are not allowed to enter the gaming rooms.
The casino also has a full entertainment complex that houses, amongst other things, the Opéra de Monte-Carlo. Those who wish to venture out into Monaco will find plenty to amuse themselves with. However, undoubtedly one of the other most famous attractions that you won’t want to miss is the Monaco Grand Prix. It has been held in the last weekend in May since 1929, and is one of the races included in the Triple Crown of Motorsport.
Las Vegas
Think of casinos and you can’t help but think of the beautiful Las Vegas! This is one of the USA’s top destinations, and each of the casinos on the Strip has its own history and culture. The crown here is the Main Event of the World Series of Poker. This is one of the best events by far in the world of poker, and has played out both in land-based casino events and online ones sponsored by brands like GGPoker.com and Caesars Entertainment. Poker fans from across the world gather both in Las Vegas and online each year to watch the best of the best play against each other – and even sometimes join in themselves.
Las Vegas isn’t just slots and table games, however. It is also home to many resident performances for some of the most famous names in show business. Many people go to Las Vegas to catch a show or two and don’t even think about setting foot on the casino floor! There’s just too much to do!
Macau
Macau is a special administrative region of China, located to the south of the country and close to Hong Kong. It actually has a gambling industry seven times larger than that of Las Vegas, and there are many places you can go within the city to play your favourite games.
However, as with many other gambling destinations around the world, there is also some amazing alternative attractions out there that you may wish to consider. Firstly, you need to make sure that you try the food. Macanese food is a rich blend of Portuguese and Cantonese cooking, and it makes for some delicious dishes. Those who love history should check out the World Heritage Site and some of the many other brilliant historical locations around the city.
These are three of the best places to head to if you love gambling, but there is also a lot more to them than just casino games. If you want to have a fulfilling and interesting holiday with a packed itinerary, any of these destinations will be a great place to visit! They have much more to offer than just a trip away to a casino, and it will be worth your time to explore them. Start planning your dream holiday to one of these amazing destinations as soon as you can!
